Twitter Commands – do it directly on twitter

Here are some twitter commands that you can directly use on Twitter without the necessity of using any other tools. These are interesting commands for those who are not too familiar with twitter or if you are just on your first steps.

Use the Twitter commands below to send private messages, mark updates as favorites, or even remind someone to update their Twitter if you’re wondering what they’re doing!

D username + message – sends a person a private message that goes only to their inbox. Example: d mary, sent you an email yesterday, did you get it?

@username + message – directs a tweet at another person, and gets saved in their “@replies” tab. Example: @ditesco I just followed you on twitter!

WHOIS username – retrieves the profile information for any public user on Twitter. Example: whois ditesco

GET username – retrieves the latest Twitter update posted by a specified user. Example: get chris

NUDGE username – remind a follower to update by asking what they’re doing on your behalf. Example: nudge twittnotes

FAV username – marks the last tweet of a person you follow as favorite. Example: fav ditesco

STATS – this command returns your number of followers, how many people you’re following, and words you’re tracking.

That’s it. Do you know of any other twitter commands that we can add to this list? Please leave it here, so I can update the list. Thank you in advance.
