Now they are unstoppable, aren’t they? Just recently I posted about a new feature in one of my favorite Twitter Clients, and today, they have released a complete new version, which they call HootSuite Barn Owl.
If you look at the website, you won’t notice very much any changes as the interface is pretty much the same, except for a few new buttons which may or may not catch your attention. But really, the changes are big and following below are some of the most recent additions to the ever growing features of HootSuite, which excerpt I have extracted directly from an email that was sent to me a while ago:
Manage your relationships, share your success, and prepare your work before hitting “send.”
Know and Grow your Audience
Sure you’re friendly, but keeping track of all your pals and contacts can get overwhelming. Get to know your audience better with the new Friends and Followers chart. Besides the usual profile info, you’ll see their activity level and “Klout” score, and you can quickly reciprocate the friendliness across your networks — it’s like a Social CRM.
Track what’s Working
Marketing pros take note: HootSuite helps you gather intelligence by tracking which messages generate clicks — including breakdowns by time and by region. Easily share your success with chart printing plus CSV export for custom reports. Did we mention custom URL parameters for deep reporting in Google Analytics and Ominture? If you know what there means, you’re definitely excited. Learn More »
Embrace Procrastination
Ever have an update in mind but you’re missing one critical part? Perhaps a link or an image? Just “Save as a Draft” on any of your accounts and finish publishing to your networks at your leisure (or whenever you get around to it). Also handy for customer support desks and storing frequently used messages.
Get Tw’Listed
Twitter Lists are the new Groups — play friendly with the Twitter-verse by converting your existing groups into lists, then bask in the the accompanying glory. We’ve made the transition easy — just click the boxes to migrate to public or private lists. It’ll be worth it.
And that ain’t all
More tweaks and tune-ups include improved Linkedin commenting. We’ve also evolved the ways to share knowledge and help solve problems. Read the article “HootSuite Help Evolves” for more details, but briefly, you can now choose the channel which best suites your needs.
There you have it. A better Twitter Client to further enhance your Twitter experience. Nothing to do, just log in and start using the HootSuite Barn Owl and manage your relationships better.

A few weeks back, Hootsuite got nominated for some web award. Voted for it and tweeted why. I cited the following reasons: it's got Twitter lists, analytics, threaded conversations and – Holly Jahangiri. I forgot to mention you and Zorlone. But then Doc Z is safely tucked away in Micronesia and you were busy vacationing in Brazil. I just hoped you guys didn't notice the sin of ommission. LOL.
Okay, I will check out what's up with Hootsuite's barn owl. Hoot!
The omission is okay, and to be honest I have not noticed you committing the sin, hehe. Hootsuite did win an award and they deserve it. I am yet to find an app that has similar features and with it's ease of use. Hope you like the new additions, hoot!
